What to check in an AI-generated itinerary before booking
Check the places, journeys and booking assumptions behind a suggested plan before spending money.
Treat suggestions as a draft
AI can help you assemble ideas quickly. A named venue, plausible travel time or confident booking instruction is still something to verify. Open the official venue or operator website and check that the place, service and details match your travel dates.
Check the route door to door
Plot each stop in order. Look for backtracking, different departure ports or stations, and journeys that omit the time to reach transport. Check dated timetables with the operator. A suggested journey is not evidence that a service runs on your date.
Check the booking chain
For each timed activity, confirm entry rules, meeting point, check-in time, duration and cancellation conditions. Compare those requirements with the activity before it. Do not reserve two activities that only work together if the first finishes early.
Check the day against your own trip
Add your actual accommodation, existing bookings, meal breaks and departure requirements. Remove suggestions that conflict with your pace, mobility or interests. Keep uncertain items marked as unconfirmed rather than treating them as reservations.
